NerdLab Stripe - Paisley Engraved
NerdRC, in collaboration with a local Denver artisan and fellow RC enthusiast, are proud to bring you a collection of parts sure turn heads first for looks, then performance. That is the whole idea behind the NerdLab line. There will be a rotation of parts produced, colors, engraving, and quantities will vary, but each chassis listed here will be numbered. These are not mass produced. They are engraved one at a time, and thus every rail is slightly different, and unique like a fingerprint.
The first entry in this series is a paisley engraved Stripe in three color options: gold, black, and silver. 1-10 are gold, 11-20 are black, and 21-30 are silver. When we started with this idea I knew this was the first drop, and I could not be happier about them. Please use the corresponding numbers in the drop down. If you want to add a Gadget transmission or Hybrid V2 links, be sure to also check out our anodization options. Give your Stripe the custom touch it deserves and the personal expression you want.
The Stripe is a very versatile chassis. It is designed around utilizing a 41mm deadbolt front geometry and the option of running a carrier or not. The optimal link geometries are Deadiator, Gremlin, and Stripe. The first two are fantastic for hardbody and C2 and designed to run without a carrier. The latter is for C3 and meant to be used with a carrier. Whether or not you choose to run a carrier you have a line killer on your hands.
This kit includes
- Number matched paisley Stripe rails
-Skid plate to fit traditional SCX24 style transmissions
-Pair of team spec Sliders
-2 unicorn style mounts with M2 screws (nut not included, but you can use a standard wheel nut, or special M2 wheel nuts form companies like 3Flow9RC or LGRP)
-Velcro to add to sliders and unicorn mount
- Stripe carrier bearing
A few notes:
-Lower scrub axles such as LGRP super 8, Tits 12cv2, x15, and hardpark axles all fit up to 63-65mm tires without trimming sliders.
-5mm bolts with nuts are the best to set up the carrier to the rails. Use the rear most slot on the rail to secure carrier to rail. I highly recommend LGRP screw refuel packs.
-rubber bands are supplied to wrap over the rear of the rear upper links to hold the links in tighter and not hit the carrier
-strong overdrive is definitely advised on this rig. I use about 45% total
- I recommend cab only body setups or the Greta Cage for this rig but that doesn't mean a fuller body cannot be used
